ABSTRACT
This paper focuses on the use of public relations in increasing insurance patronage in Nigeria. It adopts the qualitative analysis method to examine the predominant problems facing insurance industry, and proffers ways in which public relations can be used to increase insurance patronage in Nigeria. It was revealed that despite the huge potential of the insurance industry to contribute significantly to the development of Nigeria’s economy, the industry is laced with multifarious problems most of which bother on image/perception problem and their relationship with the public. It is recommended that insurance companies and industry at large should intensify their efforts in the adoption and sustenance of effective public relations practice by either outsourcing their public relations to professional PR firms or establishing a functional in-house public relations department.

ABSTRACT
This paper provide a critical assessment of the position of the relevant laws and standard with respect to how auditing engagement ought to be technically and what the common man thick as it should be doing. Auditing is an assurance service provide by professional accountant to express opinion as to the “true and fair view” of his client financial statement. This is achieved by taken into consideration the provision of relevant laws, standards, procedures and the pronouncement of professional ethical standard by auditors’ professional body (s). This audit engagement is distinct to the normal routine organizational check and control, which is carry out by employee (s) of the organization who is appointed by the management. The external auditor is allowed to charge fees commensurate to the nature of the audit work to be carried out.

Department of Economics, University of Ibadan, Nigeria
ABSTRACT
This paper investigates the economic consequences of health shocks and the manner in which households in Nigeria respond to such events. Based on two years panel survey we examine the effects of death of a household member and severe illness episodes on household income and consumption. We find that death exerts a negative effect on household income. However, the estimates do not reject the hypothesis of consumption smoothing. The most prominent response to finance consumption in the face of health shocks are asset depletion and the use of other coping strategies, which has a detrimental effects on future consumption.

ABSTRACT
We present a reliable algorithm for solving one-dimensional time dependent system of nonlinear partial differential equations. We investigate the numerical solution of this problem by using Adomian decomposition method. The solution is obtained in the form of a series with easily computed components. The numerical results on the theory of dynamic programming problem and hyperbolic nonlinear problem are used to validate the proposed Adomian decomposition method for solving differential equations.

ABSTRACT
Over time the concept and practice of strategic planning has been embraced worldwide and across sectors because of its perceived contribution to organizational effectiveness. Today organizations from both the private and public sectors have taken the practice of strategic planning seriously as a tool that can be utilized to fast track their performances. The study thus examines the effect of strategic management planning on the performance of beverage firms in Nasarawa state using descriptive survey research design. The independent t-test was also employed to test the observed hypothesis. Findings from the analysis revealed that Scanning of business environment have a significant effect on business expansion, thus indicating a strong associationship between strategic planning and firm performance. More so, evaluation and control systems has had a significant impact on level of profits of beverage firms. The study thus recommends that there is the need to provide financial allocations for the strategic planning purposes with the need to attract the human competences specialized and to provide modern technologies necessary for the success of strategic planning processes for all round growth and development.

ABSTRACT
In this paper, we have considered the effect of a smaller demand rate on the economic production quantity using the ODE 45 numerical scheme. The results have shown that an increase in the demand rate has the potential of increasing the economic production quantity whereas a smaller demand rate dominantly predicts a lower economic production quantity. This analysis is fully presented and discussed quantitatively in this work.

SERVICE QUALITY DELIVERY AND CUSTOMERS’ SATISFACTION IN NIGERIA BANKING INDUSTRY
HAMMANJODA, KABIRU
Department of Business Management, Adamawa State Polytechnic Yola Nigeria
ABSTRACT
The paper assesses the service quality delivery and Customer’s satisfaction in some selected Banks in Nigeria. Primary data is used where (600) respondents were selected through convenient Sampling. The study uses gap analysis where the difference between the Banks customers’ expectations and perception of service quality dimensions are analyzed to obtain the mean score. The result revealed that the mean score of the net perception is negative indicating that the customer’s expectation is higher than the perceived service quality at the Banks. Similarly, the individual dimension average scores are all negative meaning that there is service failure in all the facet of service quality dimensions of Tangible, Assurance, Empathy, Reliability and Responsiveness in Nigeria banks. Thus, it is an indication that the service deliveries in Nigerian Banks do not meet customer satisfactions. Banks is required by this revelation to consider repackaging and redesigning of its service operations to match up with customer expectations.

ABSTRACT
The global economy has witnessed some very tough times in recent years. After several years of low industrial capacity utilization, there are indications that the fortune of Nigeria economy is at the mercy of the global business competitiveness in oil industry. The recent global economic developments have prompted renewed interest in Nigeria’s participation in the global market through entrepreneurship development. Entrepreneurship leads to the development of small, medium and sometimes large scale businesses based on creativity and innovation. The success of these businesses in turn helps in developing the nation and enhances the economy for sustainable development. This paper therefore, discussed entrepreneurship as an imperative tool for sustainable economic development in Nigeria. The concept of entrepreneurship, sustainable development and economic development were discussed. The research design is of qualitative design. Data were gathered from secondary sources through the review of various relevant literature. The paper revealed that entrepreneurship; entrepreneurship education and sustainable development are words in the mouth of economic and socio-political policy makers without action to match the words. The authors therefore opined that, sustainable economic development in Nigerian can be rapid if there are practical and realistic entrepreneurial policies to exploit the opportunities endowed in our country. The paper concludes that Nigeria should not adopt sustainable development as a mere global slogan, but place all the institutional frame work to promote entrepreneurship.

ABSTRACT
This study examines the effect of credit management on the profitability of manufacturing firm . The intent of the study was to determine whether credit management mechanism, credit policy, liquidity management and debtors’ turnover have effect on profitability of manufacturing firm measured by return on assets (ROA). Data was sourced from annual report of selected companies. It provides empirical evidence for five (5) manufacturing firm in Nigeria for a period of 2011 to 2016. In other to achieve this objective data collected was analyse using descriptive statistics and Jarque-Bera statistics to test for normality of variables. Pearson correlation matrix was used to check for multi-co-linearity presence in a model and to explore the relationship between explanatory variable and the dependent variable. The pooled multiple regression is employed to test the hypothesis. The result reveals that credit policy and liquidity management has significant negative relationship to Return on Assets while debtors’ turnover has significant positive effect to Return on Assets. The researcher recommended that adequate credit policy must be employ by the sales department of the firm for effective operations.

ABSTRACT
Conservative financial performance measurement apparatus used to assess the welfare of a company include Earnings per share (EPS) Return on capital investment (ROCE) and Return on Equity (ROE). These methods of measuring performance have been criticized because they emphasis too much on financial measures and little emphasis on drivers of value such as employees, innovation, products quality and board composition. This descriptive empirical study uses multiple regression models to test the relationship between variables using SPSS, the results shows mixed relationship between board composition and financial performance.
